The ReStores provide financial support to Habitat for Humanity. Our first ReStore opened in 2003, the second opened in 2010. We are owned and operated by our affiliate, Habitat for Humanity of Citrus County. By shopping, donating, or volunteering at the Restore, you help families build better futures.
Shopping at the ReStore
Shopping at the ReStore is easy, and everyone is welcome! We are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Our friendly and helpful staff is ready to help you find whatever you need including furniture, appliances, cabinets, building materials, tools, windows, doors, housewares, flooring, tile, garden supplies, paint and supplies, plumbing, and more!
Making a Purchase
We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Debit Cards:
- Items can also be purchased over the phone with a credit card. Call 352-564-2300 for the Crystal River ReStore or 352-341-1800 for the Inverness ReStore
- Purchased items need to be picked up within three business days
- Items not picked up within allotted time will be returned to the sales floor
- A store credit will be issued (with store sales receipt) for items not picked up
- The ReStores do not accept deposits
- The ReStores do not offer layaway or holds on items
Return Policy
ReStore Return Policy: All returns must have the original receipt!
- Non-working large appliances can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund with original sales receipt
- Small appliances, power tools, vacuums, electronics have a 3-day return policy with original sales receipt
- Furniture, clothing, housewares, linens, etc. can not be returned
- STORE CREDIT is good for one year of issue date
- STORE CREDIT cannot be used at other Habitat for Humanity ReStores

The ReStores offer excellent bargains and one-of-a-kind treasures to shoppers while supporting Habitat’s mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. By making a donation, you’re helping keep usable goods out of landfills!

Items we ACCEPT
Appliances
Cooktops, Stoves, Ovens, Dishwashers, Dryers, Microwaves, Refrigerators, Washers
- Must be in full working order & clean
Cabinets
Sets, Singles, Vanities
- Must be complete with all doors and drawers attached
- No nails or screws sticking out; no cabinet parts (e.g. doors, drawers, etc.)
- If painted: must be factory-quality paint/primed
Clothing & Shoes
New or gently used clothing and shoes are greatly appreciated.
Flooring
Tile, Carpeting, Rugs, Hardwood, Laminate, Vinyl, Granite, Marble
All flooring should be boxed or bundled. Original packaging is preferred. We do not accept items for recycling.
- Tile must be unused
- Carpeting and area rugs must be NEW or LIKE NEW
- Hardwood/Laminate must be new or unused, with no glue or nails
Furniture
Must be in good, resalable condition
- No Press Board
- No Rips or Stains
Heating & Cooling
Working Window A/C Units, Working Space Heaters, Fans
- Must be in good working condition
- Must be less than 10 years old
Insulation
All insulation must be NEW and BAGGED
Landscaping & Lumber
Assorted Lumber, Brick, Stone, Cinderblock, Lawn-Care Tools, Slate, Cultured Stone, Fencing
- Bricks, stone, and cinderblock must be palletized for pick up
- Must be clean of mortar
- Wood must be 4′ in length or greater and free of nails
Lighting & Electrical
Lamps, Chandeliers, Ceiling Fans, Breakers, Conduits, Connectors, Fuses, Junction Boxes, etc.
- No fluorescent bulbs or fixtures
- No track lighting
- No light bulbs
Mirrors
Must be Framed
Plumbing
Sinks, Faucets, Toilets, Bathroom Accessories, Shower Pans
- Toilets must be clean and complete
- No used, unattached toilet seats
Roofing
Minimum of 1 Bundle in Packaging
Sheet Goods
Plywood, OSB, Drywall, etc.
- Minimum ½ sheet (4’x4’)
Tools
Hand Tools, Power Tools, Bench Tools
- Must be complete, in good condition and in full working order
- Please verify with store directly for any especially large tools

- Any item in Non Saleable Condition

The ReStore offers free pick up of donated items anywhere in Citrus County.
Pick up service is available Tuesday through Saturday. Drop offs accepted Tuesday through Saturday 9:30am to 4:30pm

Volunteer at the ReStore
Proceeds from the ReStore help cover Citrus County Habitat’s administrative and fundraising expenses and provide funding for our building programs. This means volunteers are vital to ensure the ReStore remains a sustainable source of funding, allowing us to continue to serve more families in our community.
Who Can Volunteer at the ReStore?
Anyone and everyone who is 16 – 17 years of age (with parent permission), and anyone 18 and up! Whatever your talent, we can put it to good use! We welcome volunteers every day at the ReStore. No matter your experience or background, we can find a task that you will enjoy. Just being part of the ReStore environment will make you feel great. There is no waiting period to volunteer, so contact us today and get started immediately!

To get started with Habitat Clean Out Services:
- Call Habitat at 352-564-2300 to schedule an appointment.
- Habitat will come to your house to evaluate, take pictures and inventory items for taxes or documentation purposes. (if needed)
