Where to return your rental car

Edinburgh Airport Car Rental Centre is on Jubilee Road, a short walk from the main terminal building. The closest road is Jubilee Road, which circles the Terminal Surface Car Park. You can get there by following the A8 (West) and taking the exit towards the Royal Highland Centre.

From Edinburgh City Centre, Take Haymarket Terrace (West)
Continue East along the A8, taking the exit on Glasgow Road towards the Royal Highland Centre
At the roundabout, take the exit for Eastfield Road, towards Edinburgh Airport and Ingliston.
At the second roundabout, take the second exit and continue along Eastfield Road towards the Airport.
At the third roundabout on Eastfield Road (The Hampton Hotel will be on your left), take the second exit onto Jubilee Road and follow it round until you see the Rental Car Centre, follow the signs for Hertz.

What to do when you return your rental car

The date and time you need to return your vehicle is stated on your booking confirmation email and Rental Record. Our branches have individual opening times so you should factor these in to ensure you are not left with any additional charges or unnecessary waiting around. Once you’ve parked your rental car, head to our rental desks to drop off your keys. Our staff will welcome you and take you through the final steps of your vehicle return.

How do I pay?

You can pre-pay online when you make your booking. You will be charged at the standard rental rate with additional fees relevant to your selection. Any optional extras will be charged to you when you pick up your vehicle in the local currency.

You can also pay your invoice during pick-up.

We accept most major debit and credit cards (restrictions apply). We also accept Hertz Change Cards (HCC) and One Trip Travel Order (OTTO). All forms of payment must bear the same name as the driver renting the vehicle.

An initial deposit is taken at the time of pick-up.

Are there any late return fees?

You may be charged late fees on your airport car rent if you fail to return the vehicle at the designated time. Most EU locations offer a grace period of 29 minutes, but if you complete your return later than this, you may be charged for an extra day’s rental.
